La Noche Del Terror Ciego

I first saw Amando de Ossorio's Tombs Of The Blind Dead many years ago on Elvira's Movie Macabre, and despite the layer of cheese and the crappy edit and dub job over the original spanish, those evil zombie templars still gave me creeps. Even though they rode on slow-motion horses (not to mention the fact they're blind) one couldn't possibly hope to escape from a slow death as they bit into your flesh in their quest to cheat death. No doubt about it, the movie holds a place for me in the back of my head...

Attractive cast members like María Elena Arpón don't hurt the movie at all...

Despite being blind and absurdly slow, you know all hope is lost...

Evil Templar knights in better days...

Eternal life from the blood of virgins doesn't mean you age well...

The blind aren't above consuming a male every once in awhile...

The undead horsemen ride in the night...

Scream indeed, because this film spawned three more sequels.

The Blind Dead movies are all fairly available I believe. There's even a coffin shaped DVD box set! The biggest problem might be that some editions might be badly mastered, edited or dubbed.

I can't comment on the sequels cause I yet to watch them......yet.
